Laine Immell

Laine Immell is an independent documentary filmmaker currently based out of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. She has a special interest in archival research and work, as well as themes based around social issues and the arts. Laine has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Media Arts with a concentration in documentary directing from Temple University.

Currently, Laine is in production for a documentary short about Laura Mulvey's "male gaze" in fine art and how contemporary artists are working to subvert this precedent in painting and focus on the "ungendered gaze" when it comes to painting the human form.
